Zombie Bites is home to my dark artwork and horror fiction. In October 2013, I hosted the second annual Halloween Outbreak, a week plus Featured Creature event with a new illustration and fiction piece each day. The posts were all connected by an over arcing storyline, The Night of the Cauldron. Also in October I began Exhumed, a regular feature where I take previously posted pieces, generally black and white, dig them up and give them a fresh coat of color and texture. Within the Psyche Delectus I presented a demon prince, a mythological beast, an unfolding enigamtic robe, and a furnace of agression. From the Archives presented a preparation sketch for last month's Eagle of Vz post, sketches from a moody zombie story, two strange head spaces from a hospital waiting room, and a winged skull.
As a way of warming up the gears here at ARS JWC, for the month of January I'll be presenting compilation posts of my work for the last months of 2013.
For my horror and dark art blog, Zombie Bites, September was a very busy month! At the end of August and the beginning of September, I had joined in promoting the Indiegogo fundraiser for Skin Crawling Comics by posting about the anthology every day. During the Summer months and well into Autumn I did colorist work for two different stories in the Anthology, "Buried" and "The Serpentine Cure".
