October 2013

Zombie Bites is home to my dark artwork and horror fiction.  In October 2013, I hosted the second annual Halloween Outbreak, a week plus Featured Creature event with a new illustration and fiction piece each day.  The posts were all connected by an over arcing storyline, The Night of the Cauldron.  Also in October I began Exhumed, a regular feature where I take previously posted pieces, generally black and white, dig them up and give them a fresh coat of color and texture.  Within the Psyche Delectus I presented a demon prince, a mythological beast, an unfolding enigamtic robe, and a furnace of agression.  From the Archives presented a preparation sketch for last month's Eagle of Vz post, sketches from a moody zombie story, two strange head spaces from a hospital waiting room, and a winged skull.

 From the Archives

Trail of Breadcrumbs hosts much of my spiritually minded and psychedelic work.  In October 2013, the Weekly Mandalas focused on the process of flowering while the Modo Cogitari presented the themes concerning unfulfilled yearning, the discovery of the positive aspects within adversity, and the process of rebirth within ritual.  The From the Archives posts presented more work from an older sketchbook including a alien figure, a grasshopper man, the energy of Hawk, the birth of a winged serpent, and a gleeful faerie.
